Quotes are generated based on your trade and typical job costs. Every number is fully editable before you send — you adjust anything that doesn't match your rates. You're always in control.
Yes. HandyQuote works for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, general contracting, and most other trades.
Yes — every rate is yours to set. In Settings you can enter your hourly labor rate, local tax rate, and service call fee. The AI uses these exact numbers every time it builds a quote, so you're never under-pricing yourself. Team plan users can also upload a full price book with custom line-item prices for specific materials and jobs.
That's the default fallback rate for the demo — it's not what your quotes will use. When you sign up, you enter your actual labor rate in Settings (e.g. $95/hr, $120/hr, whatever you charge). Every AI-generated quote will automatically use your number. You can change it anytime and it takes effect on the next quote you generate.
Voice works best when you're in your truck or a quiet area — background noise from compressors, saws, or traffic can reduce accuracy. On a loud site? Just type the job description in 15 seconds.
